MEET NEWSHA TARIFARD — NEW TRIP HOST

Calling aspiring travelers: NEWSHA IS GOING TO BE YOUR NEW BFF!

She is doing what so many travelers strive to do: traveling the world on the regular, building a global network of friends, checking a bajillion experiences off her bucket list and is probably on her 2nd or 3rd Passport by now. She is amazing. So when she decided she was game to share her wealth of knowledge, experience and just overall fun attitude with the Living Big #ladytribe it was kind of a no-brainer.

I asked Newsha a few of my go-to travel questions so you can learn a little more about her. Check out her interview below.

Newsha, thanks for joining the Living Big community!

Q&A WITH NEWSHA TARIFARD

    • Q: What is one experience that has shaped the adventurer lifestyle you lead today?
I nervously traveled solo to Europe for the first time in 2012 and ended up having the most amazing, life-changing trip. I learned so much about myself and although I had traveled before, this trip was the one that made me realize my passion for travel, my ability to do it myself, and changed my value system in terms of how I want to live my life.
    • Q: Why do you think it’s important for women to share, experience, adventure and travel together?
It’s often so difficult to leave our professional and family connections and share a new experience with a completely different set of people. Traveling with a group allows our usual boundaries to fall and for a group of good friends to be made in a short period of time. It’s always amazing to me how close you can become to “strangers” while on the road and create connections that normally take months to years. I think it’s wonderful for women to have this opportunity to leave their daily lives and do something amazing for themselves which will have a lasting positive impact on their lives.
    • Q: Describe one of your favorite travel memories
Canyoning Chli Schliere in Switzerland was the most insane and incredible experience of my life. I accidentally ended up on this trip because the more tame trip that I’d signed up for was cancelled last minute. I had to decide on a refund or pushing myself to the next level (i.e. high jumps off waterfalls, steep natural waterslides, etc). I went for the plunge and although I was terrified, I made it through and had one of the best adventures of my life!
    • Q: The next destination or experience on your bucket list is:
TONGA to SWIM WITH THE MASSIVE BLUE WHALES THERE.
